The ODEON Open Call has successfully concluded, marking an important milestone in the project’s mission to foster innovation in the digital energy sector.
The response from organisations across Europe exceeded expectations, demonstrating a strong interest in developing next-generation energy solutions based on data, artificial intelligence, and cloud-edge technologies.
A total of 731 applications were started, with 336 complete proposals successfully submitted by the application deadline. This high level of participation reflects the growing commitment of Europe’s innovation ecosystem to accelerating the green and digital energy transition.
The countries with the highest number of submitted applications were Greece, Spain, Italy, Türkiye, and France, highlighting the broad geographical reach of the Open Call and the diversity of organisations eager to contribute to the ODEON ecosystem.
The ODEON consortium would like to sincerely thank every organisation that invested time and effort in preparing and submitting a proposal. The quality and enthusiasm demonstrated throughout the application period confirm the importance of initiatives that support the development of innovative digital energy services.
The evaluation process is now underway. Independent experts will assess all eligible proposals to identify the projects with the greatest potential to contribute to the ODEON Cloud-Edge Data & Intelligence Service Platform and help build a more flexible, resilient, and data-driven European energy system.
