ODEON at the Forefront of the Digital Energy Transition

On 26 June 2025, the ODEON project participated in the webinar “Four Projects, One Vision: Digital Transformation of the EU Energy System,” hosted by the ECLIPSE DIGITAL project. This online event brought together four Horizon Europe initiatives—ECLIPSE DIGITAL, ODEON, BEGONIA, and INSIEME—to exchange insights and solutions that are shaping the future of Europe’s energy system through digital innovation.

The webinar featured presentations from each project and concluded with a joint roundtable discussion. The session focused on the role of digital tools, data spaces, and cross-sector collaboration in building a smarter, greener, and more resilient energy landscape.

Representing ODEON, Project Coordinator Moisés Antón García discussed the project’s efforts to address one of the most complex challenges facing the energy sector: managing vast and fragmented data systems. He explained that one of ODEON’s key contributions is the development of a robust and scalable technical framework that brings together data from across the energy value chain—from grid operations to consumption patterns—into a coherent and usable structure.

Moisés highlighted how the ODEON platform enables the secure collection, connection, and exchange of decentralized energy data between stakeholders. This integrated data layer forms the backbone of advanced energy optimization models and smart services. It also ensures interoperability, protects data privacy, and strengthens the overall resilience of the energy system. According to him, this approach is central to supporting the green and digital transition and helps energy actors across Europe adapt to increasingly complex operational and regulatory demands.
