The recording of the joint workshop organised by the Horizon Europe projects ODEON and HEDGE-IoT is now available online. Held on 22 May 2026 as part of the Sustainable Energy Days initiative of EUSEW 2026, the online session brought together experts and representatives from the Horizon Europe projects TwinEU and INSIEME to explore how digital technologies can accelerate Europe’s green energy transition.
Under the title “Towards a Digitally Powered Green Transition: Scaling Digital Innovation & Connectivity in Energy Services”, the workshop focused on the growing importance of interoperability, secure data exchange, artificial intelligence, and cross-sector collaboration in building a more flexible and resilient European energy ecosystem.
Throughout the session, speakers discussed key challenges and opportunities related to:
- AI-enabled energy services
- Interoperable digital platforms
- Trusted and secure data sharing
- Data sovereignty and connectivity
- Scaling digital innovation across Europe’s energy sector
The event featured project presentations from:
- Georg Hartner (INSIEME)
- Moisés Antón (ODEON)
- Ilias Zafeiropoulos (TwinEU)
- Nikolaos Bilidis (HEDGE-IoT)
The workshop also included a contribution from Svet Svetoslav, Policy Officer at the European Commission, as well as an interactive panel discussion with participants and project representatives.
The session was moderated by Raquel Castán (ODEON) and Vukašin Orsić (HEDGE-IoT), who guided the discussion and audience interaction throughout the event.
