ODEON is making remarkable progress. In its initial year, the consortium has successfully laid the groundwork for the project by finalizing the use cases, requirements, workflows, and dataflows. These foundational elements form the basis for integrating the project’s four layers: data, intelligence, services, and market-level enablers. Together, these layers will lead to the development of a comprehensive solution enabling the digital and green transformation of the energy ecosystem.
During this period, the consortium has been actively involved in defining the business scenarios and the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The MVP incorporates key concepts for how the project’s solution addresses data management, processing, sharing, analytics, and resource orchestration. It also focuses on innovative data-driven energy services designed for Prosumers, Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and Local Energy Communities (LECs).
In alignment with this groundwork, pilot sites located in the Island of Bornholm (Denmark), the Aran Islands (Ireland), Granada (Spain), Hangest-en-Santerre (France), and Mesogia (Greece) have launched their pivotal activities. These efforts provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state at each demonstration site, including grid information, Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Edge/Near Edge infrastructure, data management systems, and community assets.
The first year of ODEON has set a strong foundation for the project’s vision of driving the green and digital transformation of the energy sector. |
